Animals are wonderfully agreeable friends. They ask so little of us, and give so much love in return. When it comes time for you to let go of your animal companion, making the decisions on how to care for their physical remains can be heart-wrenching. We will transport your pet from your home or vet clinic to our facility where we will meet with you to plan a cremation for your beloved friend. Call us 24/7 at (517) 741-4555 for assistance.
Many places, including your vet clinic offer pet cremation, but only the Lighthouse offers prompt and personalized service, 24 hours a day. We are proud to only offer private cremations done in a timely manner. Most pets are cremated and returned to the family in just a few short days. You can certainly have your pet cremated by somebody offering a "volume discount", but we feel that we offer a valuable service at an affordable price and are confident that you will agree. We will be there for you, day or night, to care for you and your furry friend. Pricing starts at $300 for animals under 60 pounds. Please call for a quote on larger animals. Our urns selections can be viewed in our online catalog below.
A private cremation means your pet is placed in the cremation chamber alone. Upon completion of the cremation, your pet's cremated remains are removed from the chamber, and returned to you, in an urn of your choice.
What do I get to take home?
You will receive your pet's cremated remains back in a basic dovetailed wood urn along with a paw print keepsake. The print is crafted by local artisan, Deb Thenen, of D. Leigh Arts in Union City. You always have the option of purchasing a personalized urn from our catalog below or Deb can make you a custom urn in her studio. Please call for more information about custom, hand crafted urns. 517-741-4555.
We offer many ways to remember your pet for years to come. Whether you wish to bury you pet's cremated remains or prominently display them in that special place in your home, we have an urn that is just right for whatever you choose. Maybe you would like to scatter the remains in their favorite spot as well. Because your pet was important to you, they are important to us.
